Hundreds of logistics professionals from around the nation gathered in Oklahoma City Oct. 9 – 12 to attend the Logistics Officer Association Symposium. The yearly event gives individuals from academia, the Department of Defense and industry organizations the opportunity to interact, share ideas and discuss challenges.
LOA University sessions, panel discussions, keynote speeches, breakout sessions and other events rounded out the week’s agenda.
Lt. Gen. Gene Kirkland, Air Force Sustainment Center commander, spoke to the crowd about the state of sustainment.
Topics covered by other speakers included acquisition, supply chain management, additive manufacturing, and other subjects key to the logistics domain.
LOA is made up of almost 80 active chapters and more than 4,000 individual members from around the world.
