With 85% of her products being exported to Britain and Northern Ireland, Anne Butterly, of EasyDry, is not letting the uncertainty surrounding Brexit stop her preparations. The Dundalk company, which employs 14 people, makes environmentally friendly, single-use towels for the hair and beauty industry.
Butterly started her campaign by logging on to Prepareforbrexit.com, an Enterprise Ireland website, and completing its SME Brexit scorecard. The online tool helped her to assess the vulnerability of her business to the UK’s departure from the EU, including examining operations, innovation and sales & marketing.
She then signed up for Act On, an Enterprise Ireland scheme that provided a consultant to help her strengthen the business’s capabilities in currency management, strategic sourcing, customs and logistics.
